One of the key elements to preserve a nation is by taking care of the basic needs of its people.
During the colonisation of Malaya, the British government initiated to improve public health system and consistent water supply.
This gave birth to Johre Pipe Company ("JPC") - established by the late Mr. Tan to produce the finest vitrified clay pipes for the Public works Department and the Health Department - the veins of Malaya are laid.

The world saw a drastic leap in rubber demand for industrialisation. Latex rubber industry brought prosperity to some in Malaya. To the majority, this derives livelihood.
To meet the growing demand, Claytan started to produce latex cups, which eventually expanded into division of earthen containers and tableware. Claytan evolved into a household name as its products bring families closer..

Claytan pioneered to install modern British designed tunnel kiln in Malaysia. This is to produce refined sanitaryware that complies with the British Standard.
